Santa Catarina Trade together with Brazilian Connections&Viva Brasil Magazine, counting on the support of the Brazilian Embassy in Singapore, presented a 3-Days Dinner Celebration to showcase the highlights of Brazilian Culture and Food to the locals.

Having the beautiful church of CHIJMES as backdrop the event offered a unique opportunity for the locals to learn more and entertain themselves eith the diferents aspects of Brazil.
Entertainment for the evening includes the colourful Brazilian Samba Dancers and an energetic Capoeira Show by Master Ousado and his team from the Association of Capoeira Argola de Ouro.
Get into the cool Bossa Nova Groove with Brazilian Vocalist, Monica and feel the heat of the World Cup Fever with nifty display of "Embaixadinhas" by Brazilian Footballer.

There are many exciting prizes including Restaurant Dining Vouchers, Premium Organic Cachaça from Santa Catarina and Brazilian Memorabilia to be won.

The professional football player based in Singapore, Fabio Castro, explained about the sport and performed some football moves called Embaixadinhas.

The Ambassador of Brazil, Joao Gualberto Marques-Porto, giving his welcome speech; stressed the importance of integration of the native Brazilian cultures and that of Singapore's. He briefly explained about the culinary aspect, the Capoeira being a form of artistic expression and not just a martial art. Churrasco is Portuguese for barbecue. For our knife-welding Passadors (meat waiters) come to your table and slice the meat from large skewers onto your plates. Carnivore is a must-try for all meat lovers.
For one set price, you can experience one or all of an array of meats – beef, pork, chicken, lamb and fish. At Carnivore, the meats are marinated and rotisserie-roasted till perfection. Vegetarians need not fret because Carnivore also offers a sumptuous buffet of traditional Brazilian salads, freshly-cut vegetables plus a variety of seafood and side dishes, all at the salad bar. Not to be missed is the Caipirinha Demonstration whereby diners get the chance to learn how to make Caipirinha - Brazil's National Drink and tries their hand on concocting one.
The promotion achieved its goals, having full house attendance during the whole week.
